Take Control of Excessive Facial Sweating
Sweating or perspiration on different parts of the body is normally expected and accepted too, except when it appears on the face. Heavy sweating on the face is certainly embarrassing for the beholder, and its not a pretty sight for the onlooker too. Unfortunately, medical sciences have so far remained unsuccessful in developing a pill to control this malady and the sufferer is all the time on the look out for some way of getting rid of this problem that certainly affects his well-being and overall personality. As the causes for this suffering could vary from person to person, there is no common remedy available for all those facing this dilemma.
As far as handling of continuous sweating on the face is concerned, one solution that immediately comes to mind is to keep wiping it off time and again, using a handkerchief or tissue. The other option that comes to mind is the application of some specially made antiperspirant. Even if one manages to get such an antiperspirant, it cant be expected to prevent sweating totally for long. Ultimately, some drops of sweat are bound to be released and these could further add to embarrassment by leaving water-like marks on the face. And, how do you ensure that drops of sweat so released along with the dissolved antiperspirant will not enter your mouth or eyes!
It would be better to take some preventive measures and have some control over this malady. An important measure is to avoid using facial creams, be those in the form of moisturizers or the anti-aging variety. You should understand that application of creams, particularly those with heavier texture, is most likely to cause increased sweating, as the pores of the skin get blocked by such creams. If its not possible to totally stop the application of creams on your face, you should switch over to using facial creams that have lighter texture.
Its not uncommon to come across people who resignedly accept excessive facial sweating as part of life and keep wiping it off repeatedly. Though such a chore is helpful to some extent, the overall situation can be further improved by application of thin layer of talcum powder that helps absorbing moisture. Of course, it will not help for long intervals, yet offers some additional relief. Likewise, sufferers of this malady should avoid creams or moisturizers for applying foundation on the face. Instead, they should use compact foundations in the form of loose talc. Once again, such foundation wont stay intact for long, but it reduces the volume of sweating, compared to foundations that contain creams or lotions.
Its important for the sufferers of excessive sweating on face, called facial hyperhidrosis, to have a positive attitude and remain extrovert, rather than falling into a shell of their own. It may be added here that most often its the attitude of onlookers that that makes the sufferer more conscious of this malady. So, take some of the remedial steps or preventive measures that are sure to help to some extent, and keep going with a healthy attitude without getting affected by the attitude of others.
