I've heard in a lecture about the difference of dry and wet pond. The speaker also discussed the wet/dry pond where the pond takes in storm water and is dry during very hot months. are the design of these different kinds of stormwater ponds just the same?
Yes, they both have the same design. The goal of Storm Water Ponds is to catch the storm water and disperse it slowly so the storm drains and creeks in the area won't be overwhelmed during a heavy rain storm,.
The difference between the two is how long the water will remain in each type of pond and that depends on how often and how much water runs into them..
