Connecting With Others Through Love
A guided meditation from the Carriers of Light
Stand back from who you are now. Try to put aside your usual doubts and fears.
See if you can experience another kind of Beingness, another way of seeing
yourself. See if you can surround yourself with light. Imagine that there is a bold,
bright light around you right now, as you are now. In the center of this light is a
point. This point is the key that will open the door of love inside you.
Imagine that you are placing the palm of your hand against that center point
of light. See if you can sense the heat within that point; feel it burning your hand
a little bit. Now visualize cupping your hands around this point of light, as if you
were praying, and see that it glows even brighter between your hands. In the
center of that praying is a point of light, and it is burning outward through your
fingers and it is growing and it continues to grow. And at the center point of that
light, a human form is taking shape. Whose form do you think it might be? The
form that is growing here is your form as you might exist on another plane of
reality. See what happens as your form emerges from the light, growing larger
and larger until it is the size you are now. And you are this being, this glowing
form in front of yourself. Trace that form inside your body, remembering that the
center of this form is the point of light that was growing between your hands. And
that point of light is now at your center, beaming from within your heart, while the
outer light, the human form, is around you and within you.
Now that you are comfortable with this light inside you, another adventure
awaits you. Imagine that you are inside that form that is your self. You are able to
traverse great distances between the stars. You are no longer a lonely creature
on the earth, because all the lights of the universe are lights like yourself. See if
you can traverse a great distance now in your imagination. Visualize a great light
that exists across the universe from you. Within that light are beings like yourself,
inhabiting a planet like yours; and these beings have lights inside them just as
you do. Visualize that you are coming closer to one of these beings whose light is
like your own. In your imagination, experience a sense of presence, of someone
there. Your light can join with one of these people by becoming more radiant.
You become more radiant by wishing to join with someone else. You don’t ask
that person, you wish yourself upon them. You say, “I wish to join with you for
awhile,” and then you will experience a sense of connection to someone else at a
great distance from yourself. Hold that feeling for a moment: let it settle there, be
within it, and see what energies flow within it and what feelings come up within
you. Look for the feelings.
Now separate yourself from that distant person and bring yourself back to
the earth plane. In your imagination, visualize someone you know. See them
standing before you; see if you can imagine that they have a light just like yours.
See that the light appears before them between the palms of their own hands. In
your imagination, help them place that light in the center of their heart so that
they become a glowing being like yourself. Imagine your center connecting to
their center, the point within your heart connecting to the point within their heart.
See what feelings come up when you stay in this moment, when you rest within
it, when you don’t try to force the issues or ask the questions but simply accept
what you feel when you join with another person in this way.
You can continue this process by visualizing someone else – someone you
know, someone you would like to know, or some kind of person you would like to
meet, someone whose attributes you admire. Start by visualizing the light
between the palms of your hands. See it growing and getting brighter. Now place
that light inside the center of that person, in their heart, in the center of their
heart, and watch the glow becoming brighter until it surrounds their body. See
yourself joining from the center of your body to the center of their body, and see
what impressions you receive while you are in that state.
If you have an issue with someone that you want to resolve, this is how you
can go about it. Bring yourself to the point where you visualize that person, and
send a light from your center into that person’s center. Try to imagine the other
person’s thoughts and feelings. See if you can get a sense of how that person
sees themselves and how they feel about you. See if you can get a sense of the
justification they have found for the issue between you. Know that people usually
have positive motives for what they do, but things often get distorted and by the
time they reach you they aren’t what they seem. We forgive each other when we
understand each other’s motivation. By opening yourself to the other person’s
thoughts and feelings, you will understand their motivation. This is what we mean
by compassion: understanding a person completely, loving them wholly.
Now let us consider another aspect of love. At the center of the universe is a
great force of light, like the one within yourself. But this universal force is a
greater light; this light is the mother and father of all that exists. You have a
mother and father in this light even if you don’t have a mother and father in your
earthly life. You always have this love, this mother and father. Imagine that your
light is there, at the center of your heart, and that there is a great light in the
distance. Just as you imagined traveling to a distant star and finding another
being there, you are going to connect with something distant that is very great,
very large, but the same as you. This light has the same shape and form as your
light, because it’s made of the same substance. Your light is seeded by this light.
Across that great distance is a light just like yours, and you can traverse that
distance by visualizing a bridge between your light and the great light over there,
the mother/father.
And you see that you are becoming one with that light now. Sense an energy
flow between you – how you give and receive energy, how you receive thoughts
and impressions. Notice that there is a harmony between you because you
vibrate with the same energy. Notice that your substance is the same substance
as that distant light. And know that the force that created you is the same as you
are. You are born of this light. You are a unique point within the creation, and
your light is identical to the greater light. The waves that you feel traveling in this
light are the waves of love that make you one. Visualize yourself at the center of
that great light. You are within it now, and all around you is an intense glow. Your
heart is at the center of that heart, at the center of that great light. Your small
heart is at the center of a large heart, and you are contained within that heart.
Sense how immense and yet how warm it is to be here within the womb of
creation. You can be here as much as you want, as much as you need; it
nourishes you to be here.
Now sense that you are going back to yourself as you were, but as you go
you take with you the radiance you have found; and this radiance stays with you
for a long time, and you can refresh and renew yourself by coming back here as
often as you wish. And remember that this radiance forms a bond between you
and other people, and that this radiance joins you to the earth itself and by joining
to the earth itself you are a part of the greater whole.
Remember always to begin with your palms facing each other and
visualizing a great light forming between your palms, and growing and growing.
You place it within yourself and it expands even more, and you feel it glowing
within your heart, then surrounding you like an aura. You can traverse any
distance though the center of this light by visualizing any other center and seeing
it joining to your center with a bridge, a bridge of light, a cone of light. You can go
to your friends or relatives, or to other beings on your planet, or to other planets;
or you can go the center of the universe and find God, the God you’ve been
looking for, the mother/father of all creation. Here you can refresh and renew
yourself as often as you wish. Bring this light back into the world, and remember
that this light is at the center of your heart and there are waves of loving energy
flowing within this light, within the center, within this point of light.
Now return to your life, remembering that this great light is always with you
as long as you carry it in your heart. We say goodbye, with love. This is Hethball

In a Nutshell
Imagine that there is a bright light around you.
Cup your hands around a point of light, in front of your heart, at its center.
Notice how it glows brighter because your hands are present.
The glowing form of your body takes shape in the point between your hands.
This new form of you can travel between the stars.
Travel to a distant planet and see that its inhabitants have lights like yours.
Visit with one of them.
Come back to earth and find the same light in the heart of someone you know.
See how your light joins with their center light.
Become the other person’s thoughts and feelings.
Find this same center light in the great being who dwells at the center of the universe.
Your center light becomes one with the center light of the universe.
Your small heart is at the center of a great heart.
You are filled with love
