how do you boost volume with flat hair?
okayy so i have really flat hair and i wanna boost it up with lots of volume and cute waves. How can I create this look without spending lots of money? and what exactly should I do becuase sometimes a curling iron doesnt work that well and it takes forever!
Yay! I used to have this problem (I guess I still do, but now that my hair is short I don't have to worry about "loose curls", just ruffle it around.)
Changed my shampoo, and it made my hair go fairly Vollllumey (it was Herbal Essences, but years ago & before they changed all shampoos. It wasn't a special "volumeising" shampoo, though, so you don't reallly have to worry about that I guess).
And I used to vaugely dry my hair (not strictly a blow dry, though, as it goes very fluffy, and I don't want FLUFFY, just hair which looks lively) and I used to tie hari bobbles (hair ties, whatever you want to call them) into messy "buns" - one at the back, a couple at the sides and one with the top hair. This is only for a little while. You can just look stupid with that for a bit as you get ready, clothes wise and what-not.
And maybe 10 mins later? take the hair bobbles gently out (don't tugg them out, the quirly curls will loosen dramatically) and shake your hair around a bit.
Now, you can use a styling spray of some sort? I used to use a bit of "Surf Spray" or a bit of loose hair spray - at the roots and under layers of your hair. If it's hair spray - really, DON'T over-use it. and scrunch up your hair a bit as you're applying the ahir spray.
You can tweek it a bit with curling tongs if you wish, or just curl it with your straighteners.
Alternativly, you can use a Volumising Shampoo (I started trying out "Aussie" "Aussome Volume Shampoo") and it works wonders.

It also smells lovely 
Blow dry your hair, and you could try using curlers, the larger ones? and hair spray and things. but I don't know how to use those..
Or, just the way which takes ages - with the hot curling irons..
