when i take a photo with the flash on on my dslr i get very natural color tones how do i get with flash ?

without the flash i get very natural color tones how do i get natural tones WITH the flash .

The diffence in color tones is probably due to white balance issues. Make sure your camera is set for the type light you are under ( Sun, shade tunsten, fash etc) or you can shoot in RAW with it on Auto and fix problems later. Probably the best way when you can is to do a custom white balance for the light with a white card before shooting because your camera is trying to guerss whats right with a mix of the temperature of the ambient light and the temperature of the flash output

Diffusers and bouncing will soften the flash but will not change its temperature although bouncing it off a surface with a color cast will change the color of the light some.
