I had an eating disorder as a teen.....?
I started taking ballet at about 9...which let to lessons 6 days a week. I developed an eating disorder as well as most of my classmates! I'm in my 40s now and because of all the terrible abuse I did to my body, my whole digestive system is screwed. Talked to the doc and he told me that my large intestines are so weak, he couldn't do the surgery. It would be like trying to sew silk to leather. Eating disorders follow you even after the ballet career is over. I went to a health food store and bought Probiotic Powder 'to restore ultimate intestinal flora balance'. Has anyone ever used this? My stomach seems to be bloated. Haven't started it yet...........any answers or opinions would be great!
You should speak to a gastroenterologist. They specialize in digestion and other stomach issues. If you do not know of any or can't find any in your area, you should speak to your regular family doctor to see if they can refer you to one. If you have one already, you should ask them about the ProBiotic Powder.
I'm recovering from Anorexia. Do you have any suggestions? I eat fine, around 1600 calories a day, but I eat the same foods every day that are very low in fat and added sugars. I cannot seem to expand my diet.
