Is this a balanced meal?
I just invened it, and i'm wondering what you think. It is sort of like a chilli or stew served with brown rice. The stew has tinned diced tomatoes (to save me pealing), onions, carrott, capsicum, peas, and red kidney beans. It is flavoured with chilli and basil (from jar or tube not dried), extra-virgin, olive oil, fresh ground black pepper, and just a pinch of salt. And i add a little extra tomato paste if it looks like it needs thickening. My family loves it and it always disepears quick.

I boil the rice for as long as it says on the packet then drain the water. I dice the onions and capcicum and fry them in canola oil with the chilli on a moderate heat until the onions are trancluenct. I then add the tomatoes, then the carrot, then the beans (tinned and drained), then i add the peas (frozen) and other spices and flavors. I simmer it till it is thickened, and the carrots are softer but still a little crunchy.
I eat a pretty balanced meal.....I have a cup of pepsi in one hand while I balance a slice of pizza in the other hand thats a pretty balanced meal lol
