which suntan lotion is good for tan ? with sun protection.?
I dont like using sunbed tan at all, so im gonna do it as normal way,,by sun shine..
but i really dont know which kind of lotion is suitable , i dont like too much tan,,i want be normal bronze not brown...i neew sun protection as well,,,,
i know nothing actually,,,pls give me some info,,,,
a bronzer is basically the same thing as a self tanner, so skip that.
just get a sun screen with a low sunblock level. id recommend going for something with spf 15.
spf is sun protection factor and if something has spf 15, that means its going to take 15 times longer for you to burn. so if you will burn in 15 minutes of being in the sun it will take you 225 minutes to burn. however they recommend that you apply it after going in water etc.
the main thing you want to make sure you do not get is SUN BLOCK, sunscreen just dissipates the uv rays or scatters tham still allowing you to tan. but sun block is thick and prevents the uv rays from penetrating your skin.
also make sure it has uva and uvb protection. most sunscreens are not photostable which means that the uva protection wares off rather quickly, which is ok. but you have to be careful, go out with it on and tan for an hour and then take a break and go in the water or something, and then reapplly.
uva helps tan but it is also the primary culprit when it comes to skin cancer.
another thing you can do is try and tan for a less amount of time during peak sun hours and go lay out more freely before or after peak hours. i too need a tan. do you need a tanning partner? haha
