Should you fine wet and dry car paint after spraying metallic paint before clear coat?
People are giving me mixed info - some say ok to fine wet and dry the nibs off some say wait til clear coat is on then wet sand. Also can you use g3 compound before clear coat to flat back. How long should i wait for paint to dry before doing this process?
Do not spray clear over a sanded metallic base coat.For best results let the base coat dry enough to handle,water sand lightly with 800-1000 grit,carefully clean and tack,then apply a couple thin wet color coats.Then clear coat.I don't understand the question about compounding under clear before flat black.But clear is normally applied as soon as a base flash dries to insure adhesion.
