What is a good way to scrub grout between tiles in shower stall, without using chemicals?

I have thought of using a toothbrush with softscrub, but not sure that will be powerful enough. Any other thoughts? Thank you.

It's a pain, isn't it? I don't like to use harsh chemicals either. I have discovered the joys of cleaning with baking soda &/or vinegar. They deodorize, clean, the baking soda is gritty and so acts like Soft Scrub, the vinegar is acidic so it can help kills mildew and even disinfects to a certain extent.

To clean grout between tiles:

Pour a little baking soda into a small bowl or bucket. Wet a sponge and dip it into the baking soda. Apply the baking soda to the tiles, especially between tiles, and scrub with a tooth brush or better yet one of those long, thin brushes deigned especially for cleaning small areas and tile grout (I found one at the Dollar Store). Scrub gently.

Next, pour vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the tiles evenly with the vinegar. (Or simply saturate a sponge with vinegar and apply to the tiles) and let sit for 5 or 10 minutes. Although the grout should be clean now, if needed, add a little more baking soda and scrub again. Rinse well with clean water. Your grout should be clean and smell nice and fresh.

PS- Baking soda and vinegar also do a great job cleaning tubs, toilets and sinks too. :- 0 Happy scrubbing!
