How often should I use the sea salt soak on my cartilage piercing?

I got my cartilage pierced today at Zebra's with a 16 gauge needle
They gave me 2 cleaners and sea salt along with instructions.

Do not use the cleaner that's in the white bottle!! All that is is the same crap that Claire's gives out for ear piercings. It has a shelf-life of about a month and is basically just diluted rubbing alcohol/hydrogen peroxide.

Are they not even explaining how often and how to care for healing piercings now?? I stopped going there since you can't even talk to your piercer before you get pierced [to even get a consultation], they use cheap jewelry, mess up a lot of piercings, and they give that cleaning stuff away.

Bleh, anyway, do one to two soaks a day. Mix 1/4 teaspoon sea salt into 8 ounces of very warm water. To make things easier, you can pour some of this into a shot glass or small glass and hold it up to your ear so a seal is created. Or you can take some gauze, dip it into the solution, and then hold it to the piercing [but re-dunk when it gets cool]. Rinse off with fresh water when done. Ideally, you should do soaks for most of the healing process; but I usually only do them for about half of the healing process [for all of my piercings].
