75 gallon tank...will this fish stock work?
hey, I'm re-doing my 75 gallon natural aquarium and here's what im thinking i want to keep....
-3 firemouth cichlids (1 male & 2 females)
-6 Emerald Green Cory Cats (Brochis Splendens)
-1 Rainbow Shark
-1 spotted Raphael Catfish
*please, i don't want to hear anything about Rainbow Sharks being "schooling species" because i've heard it before and its 100% false. With Rainbow and Red Tailed Sharks, there should only be ONE shark per tank...they gets VERY aggressive and hostile when kept with their own kind...thats exactly why there isnt any online information on how to breed them...so anyway, let me know what you all think about this stocking.

and yeah there was one person who i saw answer a few questions about rainbow sharks and red tail sharks...they kept saying that they needed to be in schools of 6 or more...obviously that person was confused about what species they were talking about
I agree with BIGgourami, scratch the shark. They're aggressive in general! Especially if the firemouths pair off, the fry will be eaten by the rainbow shark, and the extra aggression just isn't healthy for such a docile cichlid.
I recommend keeping a larger shoal of brochis splendens such as a group of eight to ten. Other than that, it sounds great. Kudos to you for not overstocking!
