Is concealer and face powder bad for you?
I have tried on some face powder and concealer just to see how it looks like and i have noticed afterwards that my skin feels really weird and irritated. Is it just me? Is there a proper way to apply it and prevent that from happening?
Oil-based cosmetics can cause breakouts in people with acne/spot-prone skin and can cause the face to look shiny, but otherwise no, they aren't bad for you. If you get rashes/itchy skin you might be allergic to it but you can avoid that by using testers at cosmetics counters. And don't forget to remove all makeup at the end of the day with skin-friendly wipes.
Concealer is for blemishes/problem areas. Applying this heavily or all over (like foundation) might make your skin feel cakey and that might be why it feels weird, but it shouldn't feel irritated.
