MAC blot powder vs MAC studio fix powder plus foundation?

I have pretty oily skin and basically want a light coverage to go with my usual foundation, but also want to stop the shine and oilyness without feeling heavy and to last a long while. Which would you recommend for that the blot powder or the studio fix powder plus foundation??

I'll tell you my particular preference and then you can decide...I have really oily skin and I hate heavy coverage because it just looks bad in the daytime, so I use MAC Face and Body Foundation. It's super light and waterproof and it has buildable coverage so you can cover what you need, when you need to. Then I use MAC Blot Powder. The blot powder is translucent, so it can change the color of your foundation and make it seem just a bit lighter. So what I do is dab a bit of the blot powder onto my oily spots (i use a sponge instead of the enclosed puff, the sponge gives a little more staying power) and then I brush my whole face in the MAC Skinfinish Mineralize Powder. It gives a really nice all over glow on your face.

I personally avoid the powder plus foundation kind of things. On me, they tend to get a bit chalky and don't look right. Some spots on my face are more oily than others so if I am using a powder plus foundation, then I tend to have more coverage on those spots rather than just dabbing extra powder on to control the oil.

MAC products last a pretty decent length of time. I buy my foundation and both powders about every three months. When I was using the Studio Tech foundation in the compact, I found that I was buying that more frequently. The compact foundation seems to last me about a month/month and a half.
