Scent Marketing is Subtle yet Very Effective
scent marketing is a very popular way toward advertising one's establishment. It is used more often than not, yet the average consumer is not even aware they are being marketed to.
With the traditional form of marketing and advertisement, some visual and listening prospect is used to capture the attention of the consumer, as with a television or radio ad. However, the sense of smell is just an important tool toward advertising, as is the sense of sight and sound. In a non-traditional, but more subtle way however, scent marketing is simply another tool and very successful one to use to attract consumers.
Scent systems is the method by which companies obtain these marketing schemes. A scent machine will be used to derive a particular and unique scent of a company's establishment and then tested on a busy night of consumer shopping. Of course these aromas have to be safe for the environment and must also be pleasant to the consumer. The objective is to release the smell during a pleasant time of shopping. Good weather, minmal traffic and commotion, as well as a great customer service experience are all factors that will contribute to the consumers pleasant visit. If all of these factors are in place, then they will treasure that moment and be willing to return. In addition, their subconscious mind has picked up on the unique scent of the business which will serve as a reminder wherever they shall smell it outside of the establishment.
The scent machines that develop these aromas are very intricate and detailed, as companies invest much capital in establishing just the right and most pleasant smell.
