Perfume help! The tester isn't the same as the one I purchased.?
A few months ago I decided to try find my signature perfume. I tried loads of perfumes on and then I tried on Chanel's Coco. It made me feel really elegant and sophisticated unlike all the other perfumes I had tried on, It smelt perfect so I decided this one was the one. It stayed on me all day and I could also smell it in the morning too. I tested it another 4 times before I actually purchased it but when I used it at home it was instantly different no one can smell it and it doesn't stay on. Ive kept the bottle closed and in the box in a cool place as the experts tell you to do. I bought the perfume from a top department store so i'm really unsure why it's like this. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also it was the same concentrate edp not edt
Perfumes can "expire" or break down with age the bottle may be old. Further - your bottle may have been exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold in the shipping process.. also resulting in a breakdown of the perfume.
Return your purchase to the store and ask for an exchange. If your nice, I'm sure that the ladies at the perfume counter will be willing to help.
