Palette Tool
What's a good program for making game sprites?
I'm working on my first game with Game Maker, and it's really hard to do sprites with MS Paint. What's a good sprite making program? Something with grids, organized color palettes, shading tools, an organized way of doing animations, and so forth.
I would suggest either Photoshop or Adobe Flash. Flash is much nicer for animations however. You are able to create animations using motion tweens and shape tweens and whatnot. Has a very organized, easy to understand timeline as well. Has a grid, color palettes, and all together simple to use. Plus there are tutorials everywhere for the beginner. Good luck!
