Affordable Kitchen Backsplash Design Ideas
Glass Mosaic Tile can be more affordable than you think
Given the tough times permeating every corner of our lives these days, families find they are spending more time at home while curtailing outside activities such as eating out and taking extended family vacations. Having more time at home has inspired many folks to take on small improvement projects that are affordable, easy to accomplish by a person with moderate repair skills, and where the required materials can be purchased at an affordable price. Upgrading the backsplash in a kitchen can be quite affordable in terms of materials costs and will be a nice upgrade to what may be the most popular room in most families homes.
Most Kitchen Backsplashes are about twenty to thirty square feet in size from one side of the kitchen to the other and from the countertop to the cabinets. For our project purposes, let’s concentrate on a twenty-five square foot kitchen backsplash and what it would take to tackle this project for under $500 while using a beautiful blend of glass mosaic tile.

Glass Tile (sometimes deservedly so) has had a reputation of being a pricey materials choice when upgrading and improving a home. However, design innovations and just the natural evolution of the product has created new glass tile products coming in to showrooms at very attractive price points.
Upgrading a kitchen backsplash using glass mosaic tile is now within reach for most homeowners and can be easily completed in one weekend. The glass mosaic tile sheets come mesh mounted for ease of installation and there is normally minimal cutting involved since the mesh can be cut with a utility knife to fit in to tight corners and spaces.
