if i buy a verizon smartphone with a limited data plan, do i get free unlimited wifi?
i want the samsung omnia ii, but i cannot afford the 30 dollar data plan. i talked to a woman in customer service, and she said you HAVE to buy the 30 dollar plan but i can call when i get home to have it changed to the 10 dollar one. i dont know the password for the account because it is in my dads name, so i cannot just call and ask about the wifi. does anyone just know or is able to call and find out about the wifi?
You were lied to. The $30/month plan is required and you cannot change it to the $10/month plan - not with a smart phone. Wifi will be free but you'll be paying $30/month for unlimited 3g access so it hardly matters.
The contract is going to be very clear about the $30/month plan. It cannot be dropped and it cannot be changed.
