Nib Set
Calligraohy Set?
I just bought a Beginners Calligraphy Set today. It came with one barrell, one cap, 3 nibs, and 2 cartridges of ink. I have absolutley no idea on how to asemble it. Please Help!
Hi! Back in my day we grew up learning to write with a fountain pen—shows you I am older than dirt! I also have been a master calligrapher and taught calligraphy for over 25 years.
Take the nib, and gently push the ink cartridge (the end with the round circle indicating this is where the hole will be) onto the nib until it is secure. Then, simply inset the nib and cartridge into the barrel of the pen, and screw it in place.
Top it off with the cap whenever it is not in use, or the ink may dry. If you are not going to use the pen for awhile, it is a good idea to take them apart, securely taping the ink cartridge opening, and flushing the nib of the pen under water until the water runs clear.
There. This is the easy part! Now you are ready to learn calligraphy, the art of beautiful handwriting.
