Milk Shower
NO milk forms when i breast feed? only when i take a shower thats when i can get nay milk out .. please help?
Its so hard to get any breast milk. People told me to take a warm shower and that has helped .. but i have to shower every 2 hours!! does any one know any other suggestions??

How old is your baby?
It is quite possible that your milk has not come in yet. It can take up to a week to get your milk in after giving birth.
Nursing your baby on demand and for comfort will help to bring your milk in. Your breasts are never empty; they are just not as full. So, if you are able to get milk out while in the shower or after- you have milk. Allow your baby to nurse and you will have MORE milk.
Warm your breasts with very warm water for a few minutes at the sink- I do this before pumping to hasten the "let-down" reflex.

Edit: It's normal- what you have is colostrum and the beginnings of milk. KEEP NURSING. Nap and nurse- even if you aren't tired lay down with your baby and read while your baby naps. Nurse on demand. Nurse for comfort. Your baby is going to call up more milk to be produced. Let your body work for you- and it sounds like it is. Your baby is likely able to draw the milk out- is he/she wetting 6-8 diapers a day? If so, then he/she is doing the job.
