Don't Give Up Hope of Finding Your Favorite Discontinued Lipstick Colors
The perfect Lipstick can make a dramatic difference in your look. That is why women everywhere dread the day when they discover that their ideal shade has been discontinued. But there is hope. With a little research and detective work, discontinued lipstick colors won't have to mean settling for "second best" color choices.
Check the Stores
Even if you can't find discontinued lipstick colors at your usual shopping haunts, they may be available at drugstores, superstores, or cosmetic counters. If you find any, buy as many as you can.
Try an Online Search
Manufacturer websites usually provide product information. They also provide information on how to contact the company. Get in touch with them and out if they have any stock you can buy.
You may also want to do a generic online search for your discontinued lipstick colors. If you type the lipstick manufacturer and color information into a search engine such as Google, you may find sellers you never thought of.
Visit Ebay
You can find almost anything on Ebay and you don't even have to have an account. To find your favorite discontinued lipstick colors, you will need to do a search. Just type a color in the search box. If you don't have the exact name, type as much as you know. For instance, if the color is Revlon Brick Red#3, a search for Revlon Red, Brick Red Lipstick, or Revlon Red Lipstick, can bring back results.
Once you find your exact shade, it may cost more than you usually pay, because it is in high demand. On the plus side, Ebay sellers usually offer products in lots, or quantities, so you can probably stock up. Check to make sure the seller has a good rating (or reputation), then pay for your purchase.
Other Auction Sites are a Good Source Too
Ebay is the best-known auction site on the Internet, but not the only one. If you have exhausted all of your options and still haven't found your favorite discontinued lipstick colors, check out Ebid, CQout.com, Overstock Auction, or OnlineAuction.com. There are literally hundreds more to choose from. It may take a while to find your colors, but it is possible to restock your favorite shades, even when they have been discontinued.
