good way to tidy makeup up?!

Hi!
If you're anything like me, your various lipsticks, compacts etc will me spread across the whole of your desk/ window sill where you do you makeup!
I was wondering how you tidy your makeup? I have a big box that I just chuck it all in at the moment, but I want a really cool way of like displaying it whilst being tidy! Do you have any cool ideas!? I have looked online for some makeup tidiers but they are all plasticy!

plasticy draws = eurgh! i would opt for some wooden baskets like these > http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70173691
they are really cute and can be stored easily on your desk space or shelves if you have them and you can divide all your make up into each basket, i.e. face, lips, eyes, other bits + bobs and then try and get a tall tin or pot to keep all your brushes in. So that way, all your stuff will be organised, look cute and stylish and will be easy to get to aswell
you could also line the baskets with some cute wall paper to make it even more unique.
