Makeup Techniques - Create Bigger and More Dramatic Eyes
Interested in using makeup but don't know where to begin? Learning some easy makeup techniques, particularly how to apply eye makeup, is something that can boost your self esteem and help you to create exactly the look you desire. Read ahead for some hot suggestions for makeup application.
The 1st place you will want to investigate in order to create greater, adventurous, and more dramatic eyes is to your eyeliner. Eyeliner can be the solution to your small eye blues, but only if you use the right techniques. First of all, you will want to line the entire top lash line and then extend that line slightly at the corners of your eye. If you like, you can also line the bottoms of your eyes, but you must concentrate color only on the outside 1/3 of the eye and extend it just slightly past the edge. Don't be too melodramatic. Just a faint line beyond the outside edge will do the trick. Keep in mind that a soft and smoky look will open your eyes up more than thin hard lines of liner will. Utilize dark and neutral colors with just a little trace of black for lining, since bright shades are what will make your eyes look even more minuscule.
The second area to focus your eye enlargement method is your lashes. Eyelashes are a great eye opener. Before you wear mascara, you should curl your lashes 3 times: once at the base, another half way up, and a 3rd time at the tip. This will help to create a feminine, rounded curl of your eyelashes. Then, as you apply your mascara, take care to extend out your lashes as you go. Do so by brushing the inner 1/3 of your lashes toward your nose. Pull the middle 1/3 straight out. Then, take the outermost 1/3 of your lashes and brush them toward your temples. By lengthening your eyelashes in this manner, you can draw attention to your eyes and help them to project. The more they stand out, the larger they will seem.
Most hot tips for makeup application will direct you to your Eye Shadow. Use caution when doing so, however. Though it is a commonly held idea, dramatic eye shadow will not make your eyes stand out. As a matter of fact, it will do just the opposite. Too much dramatic eye shadow will cause your eyes to appear smaller by melding them back into your face. If you do have small eyes, you will want to keep eye shadow really light. Use only light-colored shadows first of all. Secondly, never wear more than two shades at one time. Remember, simpleness will aid your overall look. Brush a light, subtle base color from your lashes to your brow. Next, use a slightly darker shade to create just a delicate definition in your eyelid’s crease. By keeping your shadow simple and subtle, you can enhance your eyes and avoid hiding them on your face.
A fourth way to bring out your eyes is to work on the area around them. For instance, dark circles will make your eyes seem smaller than they are. If you have obvious circles around your eyes, they can even make your eyes appear hollow. To fix the problem, use a concealer that is just a little bit lighter in the dark circle areas. You can enhance your eyes by using these elementary makeup techniques, freeing yourself of the unsightly circles.
Finally, consider the shape of your eyebrows when trying to enhance your eyes. Your eyes will look more reduced and closer together if you have brows that are too close together or heavy. To help enlarge your eyes and open them, tweeze your eyebrows further out than you might ordinarily. If possible, it is preferable to get your eyebrows around an eye length apart if you can.
Prominent eyes may be a blessing, but small eyes are not a difficulty. By simply understanding where to focus your efforts, you will make small eyes pop and look beautiful. Practice your makeup techniques, taking care of the skin around your eyes and you will find that opening and elaborating your eyes is easy and even a little bit fun.
With these secrets for makeup application, you will be able to heighten your natural beauty, employing these same makeup techniques that any professional makeup artist would use. Remember that the eyes are your most significant feature, so use care when deciding on colors and cosmetics. These makeup tips don't cost a million bucks, but you will feel like a million after you begin applying makeup like a pro!
