Tricks for intensifying eyeshadow color?
Title pretty much says it all.
I'm looking for any tips and tricks to making eyeshadows come out more vibrant. I do recognize that primer can do this; however, I have a very light, light primer and it does not seem to do what I'm trying to achieve. I have no colored primers or things like Kryolan aquacolor bases. Applying it wet does have some effect, but still not as intense as I think I can get it with some random trick. So if something like black eyeshadow mixed with vaseline brings it up a notch, lemme know, please. The colors I am using are generally pale and glittery and just fade into my skin if I don't outline it with something darker. Suggestions are appreciated, thank you.
Using a primer is good, but if yours isn't good enough try using a sticky-ish concealer. not really cakey, but just enough so eyeshadows can stick. I reccomend cream shadows also, by Revlon. I've seen Youtube makeup gurus use them all the time , and they're also affordable. I make my own cream shadows, if you're on a budget like me. Just mix some white moisturiser with crushed eyeshadow. Remember, this can be messy, but yes, I made white, hot pink, lilac, and black. The black didn't turn out as well, because the vaseline I used the first time instead of the moisturiser turned out to look oily and when you try to use a brush to add eyeshadow on top, the brush just slides across your eyelid and it's just something I don't like. So yeah , you can use cream shadow / make your own and just add your matching eyeshadow over it . (:
