The 3 Golden Rules of Parenting

For anyone who has a child, has baby sat a child, or have been in a movie theater with a very upset six month old, knows that there is with out a doubt no easy way of raising a child and being a parent. But, there are ways to make the experience better for you and your child. In hope to make the experience better for everyone I have narrowed parenting down to what I consider to be the most important for new or young parents to learn.

   The first rule is to give your children positive attention as much as possible. Our kids are like sponges that can soak up all the knowledge we give to them. This can mean both positive things like picking up after themselves and negative things like hitting and using bad language. Kids crave attention and will get it which ever and whatever way that they can. And when dealing with more than one child they tend to lash out in negative ways in an attempt to gain attention, that's why it is important to reward good actions with lots of praise and not to reward bad actions by feeding them special attention.

   The second rule that must be taken to heart is to be careful what evils that you let in to the house. This can come in many forms, from bad music, to movies and even posers. Children can be very easily influenced in ways you do not want them to most often this is shown in their bedrooms. That is why you must make sure their rooms maintain a place of fun and relaxation.    The third and final rate is to properly maintain control. This can be hardest on teen parents and older parents . By this I mean that our kids constantly are being told what to do, how to do it, and when it has to be done, from morning  to night. And to be the best parent you can you must learn how to effectively and gradually give them more freedom and only by doing all of this will our children turn into strong minded adults.
