How can I get a bronze/gold look to my fair skin?

I tried Jergens Natural glow and it just made me look dirty (my lil bro said i had dirt on my face lol)
I exfoliated very well when I tried that product but it did not work.
What product is best for fair skin that I can get at a DRUGSTORE or TARGET or something like that???

For very very fair skin, if you want to use a sunless tanner you have to use the lightest shade possible. If you had one for medium to dark skin (a big difference from your natural skin tone) that would create the dirty look. Because of that, you wont be able to get dramatically darker than your natural color. And as I also found out, exfoliating doesnt do anything to help the spotty look!
If I were you, I would use the gradual tan lotion (the lightest one available) on your body every two or three days. The gradual lotions come out more even than regular sunless tanner (less "dirty" spots). If you exfoliate the skin on your face regularly a sunless tanner won't do a thing- the new cells come out too fast for the stain to last. Try experimenting with powders that are a shade or two darker than your natural color (not liquid foundations or liquid-to-powder stuff, any darker liquid will just make you orange, has to be pressed or loose powder). Make SURE you get the right color for your skin tone (If your skin is pinkish, look for a beige color with a faint pink undertone.)
Lastly, if your skin is super-fair, you may just be stuck with it- even the gentlest of sunless tanners may be too dark and appear orange. In that case, just go with it. Nature gave you a combination that has its own beauty, even if tan is whats trendy right now its not the only kind of beauty! Do research to figure out what you can do to maximize your natural beauty instead of try to change it into something else- that will always look best! Good luck
