Help on "couture/glamorous" halloween costume ideas!?
Okay, i'm 15 yrs old & every yr. there's this halloween party at my school. I have some ideas on what i want to be...i want outrageous eye makeup (like in magazines & fashion shows) but i don't know what theme that would fit in with (i was thinking baby doll or retro), but i need a lil help...Thanks
You could go as a 1930's era pin-up girl. Since you're not quite ready for lingerie you could wear high waisted jean shorts and a gingham shirt with red Louboutins and red lipstick. Set your hair in pincurls and tie them up with a vintage scarf...you'll be ready for a 4th of July picnic in 1931! There are lots of makeup looks you can use. For inspiration check out pictures of Betsey Johnson, D Squared, Heatherette, Nanette Lapore and Louis Vuitton runway shows from the 2006 Spring collections. Use heavy black liner and tie in other colours with blush and shadows. Make sure you keep your skin smooth and light, using concealer to highlight above your brows, under your eyes, and a touch above your lips. When applying lipstick, put on a matte red stain and cover with gloss that you can reapply every few hours. Highlight your bottom lip with a shimmery gloss to create depth. To take it to another level put on False Lashes on the outside corners of your eyes, that only reach until about half-way across your lid. This will create a "painted" effect. Have a great Halloween!
