what is a boy girl summer camp like?
I want to go to summer camp for a week but my mom is on the fence about the fact that its a boy girl camp for ages 8-13 (i'm 12) so whats it like? what happens there?
Coed camps not only have separate cabins for boys and girls, the cabins are usually at opposite sides of the camp. A lot of your activities will be with your cabin. Yes, there are times when the boys and girls are together, like meals (though your at a table with just your cabin) and evening activities (games, campfires, dances, etc.).
Camps are very careful about not letting girls and boys intermingle to much. Find a camp you like and then have your mother call the camp director. He or she is there to answer parents questions.
I am a camp director over the summer and I talk with parents all the time about activities, safety, and other things. Camp directors like talking with parents about these things. I guarantee that after your mom talks with the director she will be on board.
