How can I change vocal effects automatically? Like for a live setting...not using a foot pedal of any sort?
I am trying to change a vocal effect for a live setting. Like automatically turn on the doubler effect at certain parts of a song and then shut it off etc. I'm not looking for a foot pedal of any sort because I dont like to be glued to one spot on the stage. Maybe some sort of software? Or technique with pro tools? I am asking because when I perform I am usually by myself.
Derek - I am a sound engineer and the usual way this is done is the sound engineer turns the vocal effects on and off etc. If you are alone, I assume you are running the sound yourself?
All effects processors will allow you to control the type of effect and amount from the front panel. You could place the processor so that it is accessible to you. If you want this all to be automatic so you don't have to touch anything, I really don't have a good answer for you to do this live. Don't you have someone that can help you during your shows? You could train just about anyone to work the effects while you perform.
