How do I make fondant set faster?
I cut out shapes of fondant last night to put on cupcakes, they were starting to harden so I dusted them with shimmering powder...This morning I woke up and they are really soft, the weather is overcast so I think that may be a contributing factor?, although this is my first attempt at cake making - so my question is - how do I make it set again and fast I have to have it dropped off for a birthday by lunchtime tomorrow
A couple of ideas which have worked for others in a pinch for time:
Place them in your oven with the light on. It helps dry flowers faster, i would think it would help with your shapes.
Put them on the counter or on the table in front of a fan.
..and I have also heard of using a food dehydrator.
