Eyelash Extensions - For a More Beautiful You
Eyelash extension is originated in Japan in the late 1990's and was adopted by many salons in the early 2000's as it continue offering the service it becomes popular on its own way. Eyelash extension worn by fashion models and celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Star Jones, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Lindsay LOHAN, Gwen Stephanie, Lucy Liu, Naomi Campbell and Liz Hurly.
Eyelash extension is different to eyebrow extension even though it is available but people must prefer to use eyelash extension because of its originality when it is applied to natural eyelashes. Eyelash extension creates additional length and thickness to make natural eyelashes fuller as it looks attractively longer. Medical surgical grade-adhesive is used in applying the synthetic single fiber polyester thread like materials to client individual eyelashes.
As hair grows out, it cycles and falls out naturally, thus shedding the extension with it. Only licensed estheticians or registered nurses may legally apply eyelash extensions to clients. In some States, cosmetologists may be allowed by law to perform eyelash extensions. Prices range depending on location of salon and type of service offered. Generally the price is $199.00 to $500.00 per set for a good quality set. Re-lash is usually $75.00 to $150.00.
Eyelash extension is designed to bond to one natural lashes, However there is a tendency adhesive bond can be awakened by an exposure of oil. The proper procedures of applying the extensions with the used of medical grade adhesive will takes at average time of 90-120 minutes for a full sets of extensions 30-80-lashes per eye. Only licensed estheticians, professionals, or even registered nurse are allowed to apply eyelash extensions to clients.
However it is recommended that only the licensed estheticians or registered nurses are allowed to performed eyelash extensions. Eyelash extension when it is applied, would take one and a half to two hours if the right procedure is applied in performing eyelash extension. Therefore it is necessary to have a regular touch up visits every two to three weeks, to make it last.
The procedure for eyelash extensions differs from each technician. The technique involves attaching a synthetic, silk or mink eyelash extension to an individual eyelash on the client. The selection of the donor lash to which the extension is to be attached is a specialist task. It involves, carefully separating the natural lashes with a fine point tweezers to reveal one healthy eyelash. The eyelash extension is then dipped into medical grade adhesive and attached to the natural eyelash. The process is repeated until all eyelashes are covered. The eyelashes should last about three weeks, at which point a re-lash or touch up may be done.
