MAKEUPALLEY USERS: Is this ok?
I agreed to swap with a woman-I sent first. We agreed to swap my Bare Escentuals max coverage Concealer Brush for her MAC 217 blending brush. The mac brush cost 22.50 USD and mine was 20.00 usd. Hers was Never Used and mine was used 2 times but in great condition.
She messaged me saying she is sending my brush back because it is in bad condition. I asked her what specifically did she not like and she said it has scratches on the handle.
It very well may have those little scratches that occur when you put brushes in a holder--but it is minor.
Is this ok?
As long as you disclosed to her that the brush had been used two times then you've done nothing wrong. Sounds like this lady is just being picky. She's missing the point of makeupalley's swap program. The swap program came about because ebay banned selling used cosmetics on it's site even if they were sanitary and lightly used. When you swap "used" items you can't expect them to be perfect. I'd swap back and then block her from your swaplist. Send me her username if you get a chance, i want to make sure i never swap with her either. It's ridiculous when people are picky about things like a few tiny scratches on a handle that don't effect the use of the item. She's too picky for swapping and should probably stick to buying things new.
