Bare Escentuals good for cover up?
I don't have that many blemishes but I do get the occasional and my skin has a light scar or two from previous blemishes. Will it cover that up without causing too much oil damage to my face?
Having used Mac and Lancome and every other big brand name out there, I can safely say that I am happiest with Bare Minerals. If you put it on light enough it doesn't get all oily and shiny like the other ones. Also, when they say you can sleep in it they're being serious. It doesn't trap the oil or feel gross, it really does feel light and like your skin. I also have scars and it covers them up easily. You put on a coat to cover (just a little bit, buff around) and then use the cover-up brush to dab on the problem areas. There's also something called "mineral vale". It keeps the oil and shininess down for you. At 60 for a starters kit (mineral vale for oil, some sparkly stuff for your natural luminescent look, bronzer, two cove-rup colors [they're related, like light and fairly light so you can see which matches], and three brushes) and 25 for just a cover-up tub (but it's much bigger than that in the starter kit) it can seem a bit lofty but it lasts longer and it really works. Not to mention once you buy 10 you get one free.
It's worth it. It lasts forever and it really does the trick without you wanting to claw the "goop" off of your face because it feels unnatural. I would suggest at least going into a store, if one is near you, and having a makeover. I'm pretty happy, for the first time in my life, with my cover-up.
(PS-just make sure to use the little white bottle from there or a moisturizer. It doesn't "stick" as well otherwise. IE the coverage isnt as good, depending on how much you need)
