Why is this brand new laptop sooooo slow?

Ok i dropped my other laptop yesterday and decided to buy a new one. that laptop was nothing special it was a single celeron processor, hp, 3 gb of memory 250 GB harddrive, its speed was 2.2 and laddy da da.... you get the point. Now can any one tell me why this brand new laptop is so much slower seeing how its a Samsung, Intel i3 M330 2.13 dual core, 4 gb of memory and 500 gb of harddrive.....? it seems like it takes for ever to even uninstall programs and i just opened the box like an hour ago.? Uninstalling the junk software that comes pre-installed can take a while, give it time...
If the old OS was fairly old, newer versions can be a bit slower, due to the increase in program sizes and memory requirements...
