Should you be in area without 3G coverage, then the handset benefits from EDGE and Class 10 GPRS. The ultimate online experience is achieved when connected via WiFi. This enables you to connect to your own router, or a WiFi hotspot available for public use. The handset is also extremely fast when connected using this system thanks to support of the 802.11N standard. Local connectivity is also good on the 9300 Curve 3G. The manufacturers have included a 3.5mm headphone jack which will please people who use there phone as an audio player. This allows a practically unlimited choice of headphone to be used, rather than being restricted to the ones that come supplied with the phone. Bluetooth version 2.1 is also covered, allowing wireless connection to compatible accessories.

With regards to the design element of the phone, the Blackberry Curve 9300 3G follows a similar path to many of its predecessors. The layout is unmistakably Blackberry. A 2.4" TFT screen screen shows a good quality QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Colour reproduction is also good, with a total of 65000 colours able to be displayed. Unlike many competitors who rely upon a touchscreen method of navigation, this model uses an optical trackpad which is located beneath the screen. Blackberry have opted for this method in favour of the older trackball as not only is it more responsive, but it does not suffer from the freezing that the trackball encountered. The famous full Qwerty keypad is once again included. This is the major attraction of these phones, with users who rely upon the handset for e mail and heavy messaging use finding it quicker and easier for the composition of messages. The Blackberry Curve 9300 3G looks set to appeal to a wider audience than is traditionally associated with the manufacturer. Great connectivity options are coupled with a functional yet stylish design to make this perhaps the most widely accessible Blackberry to date.
