Why Are Compact Fluorescent Bulbs STILL Lousy?
Everyone again seems to be pushing the idea of using compact fluorescent bulbs.
I tried them recently and they are STILL lousy. They drive my eyes batty.
I also have some friends who were given free bulbs by their electric company. The friends threw out the bulbs after trying them.
The only good point about fluorescent bulbs is that they use substantially less electricity than standard bulbs. And that's where their good points end as far as I'm concerned. I, too, can't stand the flicker.
