Color Raisin
Why did my chocolate turn this color?
I got some chocolate-covered raisins yesterday. I opened up the package just now and the raisins looked like this. They are normally supposed to be a dark brown, normal chocolate color.
They still smell chocolatey. Are they safe to eat or should I throw them away?
They are fine to eat, the color changed because of a temp change. When the temperature changes it causes the cocoa butter to separate and you get the weird look on your chocolate. Unless the expiration date has past then you are good to eat them.
