Dark red hair for light golden skin color?

I'm an Asian with a light golden skin tone, and I'm considering dying my hair red for the summer. I don't want super bright red hair like Rihanna or anything; something darker would be more appropriate, I think. What shade of red would you recommend? My original hair color is a really dark brown that's considered black. Thanks in advance!

Oh, and this is my *first* time dying my hair completely. I've gotten highlights before several years ago, but I want to know if dying my hair would make it unhealthy or dry.

I think you would suit a dark brown sort of color that has red in it, so when the light catches it, it will appear red. Or you could go a stage further than that and go completely red, but a dark deep color, i think it would suit your features nicely
