appropriate width for men's wedding band?
we are considering a pair of Cartier matching wedding bands. my fiance is concerned that the ring with a width of only 3.5 mm might look too thin on his finger. he's 6'2" tall.
what is typical width for men's wedding band?
There is no set minimum for men's wedding bands. I work in a jewelry store and I sell anywhere from 2mm to 8mm wide as a gents band. The most common I guess would be 4 or 5mm wide. Some men do not like the width of a 6mm and find it uncomfertable. Your fiance is tall, but how are his hands? It might help me if you gave me his finger size. I'd say that anywhere from an 8 to 11 finger size and the band will look fine. 12 and up, however, may be a bit thin. See if Cartier does a matching wider band if this is the case.
