Baby Touch
When is right time for ppl to touch ur born baby?
I've heard its better not to let too many ppl touch the baby once it was born, cuz of the skin or something? When is good time for ppl to visit or play with the baby?
Two different thoughts here.
1. Everyone needs to wash their hands before they touch the baby. No hand washing, no touching.
2. Babies can easily get overwhelmed as their eyesight is very poor at birth. With lots of people, there is also a lot of noise which is scary. It's best to limit the number of people around the baby to only a few at any one time and not allow "pass the baby" round and round.
There's no need to hide the baby away from birth onwards, but I would try to keep to small groups of 3-4 peoples tops who all have lovely, clean, newly washed hands and who have not been sick in the last 3 days.
