Filling in Tax return for Avon Representative?
I have been an Avon Rep for about 5 months and am about to fill in my first tax return. I have kept all necessary records and understand the basics. How do i account for products that I have bought for personal use? I know basically I will pay tax on Revenue minus expences etc, but do personal products come under expenses? Any advise welcome.
It all might be a moot point. The reason I mention this is, if you a filing a personal return, and the expenses do not exceed the minimum standard deduction, it won't result in a reduction in your gross adjusted income. What I mean by that is, I am assuming Avon was not a full time job, and your only employment. In any case I doubt you spend more than 6k on supplies this year.
