Beauty Plus Cosmetics

After I shave, how am I supposed to put on aftershave? Do I pour it into my hands, rub it in my hands, then tap the area I shaved?

Now when it comes to cologne, I have Mesmerize from Avon; it smells pretty damn good. The problem I have is that it never lasts all day on me... is it the way I'm putting it on? I generally spray 3 times, one on each side of my neck, then one in front of me ( I think it mainly lands on the shirt...) then I rub it around my neck. Am I doing something wrong?

Also.. the aftershave I have, and the cologne are two different scents... how does that work? Am I supposed to choose one and use it or do I use both? The reason I ask is because the difference in the way they smell.. and well if I shave I need aftershave so then am I not supposed to use cologne?
