i have to do an avant garde piece in art class and im so confused on how to do it!! Can anyone help me and tell me what it is and possibly how i could do it??

avant garde is emant to shock your audience or be unexpected so do an art work that will make people be like what the? It doesnt have to have a meaning and in most cases artists or script writers doing avant garde write down dreams or something from their subconcious which is when your mind is muddled up Or right after your sleeping and posibly in your artwork have a hidden symbol representing something but that's completey upto you for example a wallet that's been dropped out of someones wallet could be lost identity as a wallet is seen as a persons identity. If you're allowed to do any from of artwork maybe try making a video or movie you could watch some on youtube or read about them just search avant garde and theres good info on wikipedia hope i helped and good luck
