Air Freshener's Introduction
Air freshener come in an assortment sizes, colors, fragrances and the methods. To begin with, there is the simple Spray Can kind of air freshener that you spray around the house or office to purify the air. Well I guess purify it isn't really an accurate description, they actually just mask the other odors. The contents of the can are more often than not a sort of a scent that gives one the feeling of inhaling fresh air. They come in a wide range of scents that cover just about anyone's preference.
There are some pretty scientifically advanced air freshener's on the market too. Some come complete with their own fans embedded in them in order to circulate the scent. While the system purifies the air through a combination of processes like charcoal filters, pollen filters and the like, the air freshener themselves serve the purpose of removing or masking the offensive odors and to provide a fresh and clean scent. These air freshener also come in a wide variety of scents.
We usually have a debate in our home as to which scent to put into the air freshener because of our different preferences. While my wife prefers an air freshener that is nature based and often buys pine and lavender scented air freshener, I like the more masculine musk odors. Basically our house has distinctive smells for just about every room.
The study, where I spend most of my time, has an air freshener that smells strongly of musk and wood while the bedroom has a distinct scent of lavender, my wife's preference. My kids don't really have a preference put as long as it doesn't smell like old socks then they are okay with it.
There are also the industrial variety of air freshener, which are used in industries, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and other such places where the quantities of air that need to be freshened are vast and demand more thorough air purification and freshening. Even horticulturists are known to use air freshener to promote the speedy growth of certain varieties of plants. Most office building that have a centralized air conditioning plant or system also tend to use industrial varieties of air freshener to clean and purify the air.
There have been avoided that of the studies conducted on the effectiveness and necessity of air freshener. Many scientists will say that because her freshener are not natural then they are not necessary. They also can have negative effects on the environment, specifically our atmosphere.
They have conducted research that shows that for air freshener, most notably those that come in pressurized cans, the CFC content could lead to carcinogenic results. Others are of the opinion that if used in moderation, air freshener can be effective and illuminating many of the harmful effects of bacteria, dust and other irritants that are contained in all households.
Air fresheners are consumer products used in homes or commercial products used in restrooms that mitigate unpleasant odors. There two broad air freshener categories: continuous action and instant action. Continuous action products include: scented candles and devices which use a candle flame or some other heat source to heat and vaporize a fragrance formulation; Incense burners; wall plug-ins which either use Piezoelectricity technology to aerosolize fragrance or heat to vaporize it; fragrance impregnated gels which release fragrance as the gel evaporates sometimes with the help of an electric fan; wick and reed diffusers which release fragrance by evaporation from fragrance-soaked wicks or a wooden reeds; and fragrance impregnated materials like floor wax, paper, plastics, wood which release fragrance by off gassing and lastly nebulization systems which convert liquid fragrances into a vapor in a cold process without the use of heat.
As for me, I have been using air freshener just out all my life and I don't seem to be any worse for it. We will continue to use air freshener and our home.
