Acrylics Gels
Are fake nails pretty or trashy? Also need info on gels vs. acrylics.?
I'm thinking of getting fake nails put on, because my nails are short and as soon as they get to a nice length they start breaking, and some of my nails never seem to want to grow at all. I know sometimes fakes can look really bad, but if I got them I would get them short and would want them natural looking, either French Manicure or a solid color or something.
I haven't gotten any kind of fake nails done in so long. I got acrylic tips a couple times, but they kind of ruined my real nails once I decided to take them off (even though I soaked them off like you're supposed to), so I was wondering..
Should I get fake nails at all? If so, should I go with gel nails? How do they differ from acrylics? How do I make sure the technician is actually giving me gels? If I do get gels would they still put tips on my nails, or do they just use the nail I already have?
Depending on the type of fake nails, i wouldn't say fake nails are trashy.
and besides, who cares what other people think?
if you really don't like the way your nails are, do what feels best.
Whatever you do, i have a great tip that's amazing! I know it sounds crazy, but put some garlic in nail polish (chop it up or something, i duont know) . Let it settle for a week. Put it on and VIOLA! Nails that are as hard as acrylic.
Yeah your nails might smell, but it's a great tip I did. I learned from dr oz. :p
